Office hours are a time that faculty set aside for meeting with students.
You do not need an appointment for set office hours; you can just drop in to ask questions or get help.
If you would like help on a particular assignment, please bring the paper/assignment with you or make sure it's in your shared Google Drive folder, so that we can access it during the meeting.
I will not "pre-grade" any assignments, but if there is a particular concern or an area of a paper that you want extra help with, I'm always happy to sit down with you to look over that together.
Note: Spring/Summer semester office hours are by appointment only. I'm typically available for a few minutes before or after class. If you need longer than that, just let me know and we can find a time to meet.
During in-person office hours, I will be available in my office on South Campus (F 304-2). See the syllabus on Canvas for my in-person office hours this semester.
During virtual office hours, I will be available on Microsoft Teams. Instructions can be found on the Virtual Office Hours page. See the syllabus for my virtual office hours.
Note: Office hours are subject to change with notice.
Email: You can find my email on the Syllabus or use Outlook (for your Macomb email) and type in my name.
You can also send an email/message through Canvas Inbox.
Teams: Only during office hours. See instructions on the Virtual Office Hours page.
Before emailing, please make sure to read over any assignments or readings relevant to your question first.
I will always try to get back to you within the following time frames if contacted by email/Canvas messages:
24 hours on weekdays (Monday morning through Friday afternoon)
Typically, within 48 hours on weekends (Friday afternoon through Sunday night).
I don't always check my email on the weekends; I will get back to you on Monday if you don't hear from me before then.
If you do not hear from me after the time frame has passed, please send a follow-up email (and double-check that you are spelling my email correctly) in case there was a problem with the email going through or I accidentally missed the email.
